i work in air-con industry which i never learn any particular subject back in my Uni level. cut it short, every morning, we have our 'mini class' conducted by our superior. so, any topic related to air-con will be debated. Last week, there is 1 issue caught my intention. Did you guys know Maldives islands are sinking? Yes, it is. The possibility of sinking of Maldives was ascertained by the 2004 tsunami, which swept across these low-lying islands with immense ease.
What is the connection with ME? yes me!! the sinking is the effect of global warming. did you know what causes global warming? the answer: the rise of greenhouse gasses. one of the gasses is contribute by refrigerant. refrigerant is a type of coolant that cooled the air (nama pun aircon kan, mesti la produce cool air).
so, as part of human nations, a being, the scientist keep do some research to compose new material which can lessen the global warming effect. so do us. the government policy is changed. any manufacturer that applied this 'green environment' rules, will have advantage. the duty lesser. they issue certificate for us. and what more. and 1 of the key sales tools is, you may talk about 'green, green, green, efficient, efficient, efficient' to the owner :) me being a sales engineer. kdg2 mcm sales girl jugak pun ada. hu.
